Alfonso de Castro is specialized in portrait, nude and documentary photography, working primarily, but not only, with large format cameras. He is also specialized in 19th Century photography and alternative printing processes, including Platinum, Palladium, Van Dyke and Cyanotype. Alfonso de Castrois holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and a Ph.D. in Fine Arts and is a Professor of Photography in the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. With the words of Bataille: “What designates passion is a halo of death”. Murders in China comes immediately, like a shot in the temple, a work that is separate from what he has done so far.
